Getting Involved

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Core Challenge.  The Core Challenge was conceived by a small group of educators, nonprofit organization specialists, and technologists as a way of providing an evolutionary learning community to America‚Äôs teachers, students and parents.  We were established as a nonprofit, 501c3 in the state of Maryland.

We are dedicated to keeping the learning assets we collect free and openly available to all members of our community.  Currently through the support of ClassFive, LLC, Livescribe, Inc., the Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics and private contributions we are bringing the Core Challenge to life.  But there is still much work to do.  We are dependent on the support of our community and we look forward to your involvement.

We receive a large number of inquiries about how to get involved and we are grateful for any support you are willing to give to make the Core Challenge a success.  Here are just a few of the ways that you can get involved:

  • Author and upload a learning object (e.g., conceptual pencast).
  • Review learning objects
  • Help us get the word out through local press contacts, blogs, billboards, etc.
  • Host a Core Challenge event in your state or district.
  • Make a tax deductible contribution to help us with operating expenses.
  • Volunteer to assist the technical team with our development efforts (skills including Microsoft .net, iPhone development or Droid application development).
  • Volunteer to serve on a committee or advisory board.

For more information on getting involved, please contact James Marquis (James@corechallenge.org). We look forward to hearing from you!
